Joined Nike as Senior Director, Global Tax Controversy & Policy in January 2023 adding global planning and transfer pricing responsibility in 2024. Leads Nike’s global tax controversy, global tax planning, transfer pricing and policy teams, working with Nike team and external partners to manage complex tax controversy, tax policy, global tax strategy and planning. Prior to joining Nike, between 1996 and 2022, Nathan had a variety of leadership roles in Cargill’s global tax & customs group as Assistant Vice President and Senior Tax Counsel, reporting to the VP Tax, based both at the HQ in Minnesota and for over 7 years based in Singapore, as well as serving 2 years at CH Robinson in the position of VP, Tax & Risk Management, and as Tax Director for GE Commercial Finance in Tokyo. Prior to that, Nathan worked for law firms in Chicago and Minneapolis, and spent two years serving as Counsel & Legislative Assistant for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC. 1987 graduate of Bowdoin College and 1990 graduate of Harvard Law School.
