Profile
Born in 1970, Bermudian painter and sculptor Graham Foster is best known for creating the Hall of History mural housed within the Bermuda National Museum. The 1000 square foot mural depicts five centuries of Bermudian history, took three years to complete, and was officially opened by HM The Queen in 2009.
His paintings tend to follow two directions, one inspired by Bermudian iconography, flora, fauna, traditions and people rendered in a uniquely surreal style. The other is looser, more expressionistic, often influenced by dreams and the subconscious.
He sculpts primarily in welded and forged steel, drawing inspiration from re-imagining different types of tribal art from Africa and the Pacific Rim.
Graham’s work can be found in private and public collections throughout Bermuda. For more information please go to www.grahamfoster.com or instagram @grahamfosterart
