Matthew is Top Ranked in Chambers UK Bar , HNW, and Global for Trusts and Offshore, and ranked as an Expert in Chambers Global for The Bahamas. He is also recognised as a Leading Partner (Legal 500) and Highly Recommended by the Lexology Index at the UK Bar and in Private Client and Offshore, and included the peer nominated Private Client Global Elite Directory.

His core practice areas include advisory and litigation in the areas of trusts and estates, related company law, insolvency, and civil fraud. He also has considerable experience in matrimonial matters involving offshore structures. He regularly appears in the higher courts in the UK. Matthew is also called to The Bahamas and BVI Bars with a chambers in The Bahamas. Between the UK and Bahamas he is able to advise and appear on matters from those, and all other principal offshore jurisdictions including Bermuda, Cayman, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and the Privy Council (acting as the highest appellate court for those jurisdictions). He has also acted as an expert on Bahamian law in the UK and US courts (Florida and NYC). More recently he has done work in Barbados, St Kitts & Nevis and Grenada.
