Matt Feeley is an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida. He is a Deputy Chief in the Civil Division and the Healthcare Fraud Coordinator. In that role, Matt leads a dedicated group of AUSAs, analysts and investigators as they investigate, prosecute and resolve some of the most important healthcare False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute enforcement actions in the United States. He has investigated enforcement actions resulting in more than a half billion dollars’ worth of settlements in the opioid, compounding pharmacy, and electronic health records contexts. From 2020-2021 Matt also served as a criminal Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Oklahoma. Prior to joining the Department of Justice in 2017, Matt was a commercial litigation and internal investigations partner with a major U.S. law firm. He is the recipient of the 2024 Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) Award of Excellence, the 2022 Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys Director's Award for Superior Performance by an Assistant United States Attorney (Civil) and his office's Karen Cross/Beranton Whisenant Award for exceptional performance and extraordinary achievements by an Assistant United States Attorney with fewer than four years of service. Matt earned an undergraduate degree in government from Dartmouth College, a law degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School and a master’s degree in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
