Profile

Craig Peretz is the Chief Financial Officer for Golden Eagle Strategies, LLC (“Golden Eagle”) and has been actively involved in the operational and compliance side of the Alternative Investment Industry since 1988.

Prior to joining Golden Eagle, he was an Alternative Investment Operations Consultant and served as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer to Sierra Global Management, LLC (“Sierra”) a global long/short equity with a focus on European securities. At its peak, Sierra had approximately $1 billion of regulated assets under management with multiple investment funds, including a traditional long/short equity strategy; a long only strategy; a China strategy; three managed accounts and a UCITS Fund.

Before joining Sierra in 1998, he worked with International Fund Administration (“IFA”) for three years where he was responsible for client administrative operations, financial review/preparation, fund set-up and investor/manager relations. In addition to leading IFA’s Bermuda operations for more than a year, Craig set up approximately 50 client fund structures in a variety of strategies, including one of the first Master Feeder Structures.

Craig also worked in the private equity, corporate finance and investment recovery divisions of Equitable and Alliance Capital Management from 1988-1995 and served as a member of the demutualization team, which is the process by which an insurance company transitions from a policy held company to a publicly held company.

Craig speaks regularly at industry conferences on topics ranging from operations, out-sourcing and interacting with global regulators. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of Alfred University where he is Vice Chair of the Finance committee and is a registered Cayman Islands Fund Director. He earned an MBA at The Stern School of Business at New York University in 1994 and completed his undergraduate studies at Alfred University in 1988.
