Andrei Chilianu

VP, Investment Risk Lead at Nuveen Alternatives Europe S.à r.l.

Andrei is a risk management professional with deep expertise in alternative investments and Luxembourg and Irish fund structures. He currently serves at Nuveen Alternatives Europe S.à r.l., the internal AIFM of US-based asset manager Nuveen, which he joined in September 2021. In this capacity, he leads investment risk oversight across a diverse range of Luxembourg-domiciled funds covering private asset classes including Real Estate, Clean Energy Infrastructure, Private Equity Impact Investing, Farmland, and Timberland.

Prior to joining Nuveen, Andrei held an investment risk role at BNY's “SuperManco” in Luxembourg, where he covered private credit, UCITS, and money market funds domiciled in both Luxembourg and Ireland. Earlier in his career, he also served at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg in a contractor capacity.

Andrei holds a Master's and Bachelor’s degree in finance and Banking from Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, and has been a CFA charter holder since 2019.
