Reyhan Gulec is a seasoned legal and regulatory advisor in the investment funds industry, with over 17 years of experience gained at top-tier global law firms. Based in Luxembourg, she also serves as an independent director on the boards of several funds and SPVs, bringing deep insight into fund governance and strategic oversight.
Her practice spans the full life cycle of investment funds — from structuring and launching through to ongoing compliance and liquidation. Reyhan’s expertise covers AIFs and UCITS, including cross-border mergers, as well as EU and domestic regulatory frameworks on AML, ESG (both primary and secondary regulations), and sustainability disclosures. She has a particular strength in advising and governing impact funds.
A strong advocate for high standards in governance, Reyhan is a board member of the Luxembourg Institute of Directors (ILA), where she is actively involved in initiatives on sustainability and board composition.
Reyhan holds an LL.B. from Istanbul University and dual MSc degrees from the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
