Michael leads State Street Global Markets Macro Strategy team focusing on how the behavior of investors, the measured media narrative and online retailers can help with investment decisions. Having trained as an economist at Cambridge University, Michael has spent twenty-seven years as a macro strategist focused on financial markets. He is a regular commentator in the financial media, presenter at industry conferences and has published papers in the Journal of Fixed income and Journal of Investment Management. He also has had two provocative policy talks published on TED.com on printing money for international aid and a provocative way to tackle climate change
