Alex Messina is the Vice President of Acquisitions for Nicola Wealth Real Estate, the in-house real estate division of Nicola Wealth, a premier Canadian financial planning and investment counsel firm. Nicola Wealth Real Estate manages a $10.0 B real estate portfolio spanning major markets across North America and a range of asset classes including industrial, multi-family, office, self-storage, retail, and seniors housing. Alex is responsible for sourcing and negotiating direct real estate acquisitions, as well as structuring joint venture partnerships. Over his career, he has participated in over $8.0 B of real estate transactions. Prior to joining Nicola Wealth, Alex worked in commercial real estate brokerage and as an appraiser at two leading international commercial real estate firms. Alex currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and is the Chair for the Foundation’s Investment Committee.
