David Owen

David Owen is the President and Chief Operating Officer at Pure Industrial and has been with the company since 2016. He is responsible for driving Pure’s vision and business strategy, and he directly oversees portfolio management and the senior leadership team. David’s focus includes continuously building operational excellence and a winning corporate culture at Pure. Under his leadership, Pure has grown to own and manage more than 42 million square feet of prime industrial real estate across Canada, and has been certified as a Great Place to Work® and as one of Canada’s Top Employers.

Prior to joining Pure, David worked with a retail private equity real estate fund manager and a privately managed funds group focused on investing in and lending on Canadian urban real estate. He holds an Honours B.A. (Economics) from The University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder.
