Based in Vancouver, Canada, Tara Brockelmann is the Vice President, Retail Leasing (Western Canada) of QuadReal Property Group. She currently leads the merchandising and global leasing strategy for QuadReal’s innovative Oakridge Park development https://oakridgepark.com/

With over 22 years’ experience, Tara’s retail leasing background has been strongly focused on development and she has touched the full range of retail asset types including: mixed use, street, strip, power, community, and regional shopping centers.

Tara began her career in brokerage at CBRE, followed by six years with acclaimed Vancouver developer Ian Gillespie at Westbank Projects. Two of her notable leasing and development assignments at that time include the iconic Woodward’s redevelopment and the Fairmont Pacific Rim project.

In 2008, Tara joined Bentall Kennedy and began working with the BCI team (now QuadReal Property Group). In her more than 15 years of tenure with the company, she has worked on many of BCI’s most prestigious retail assets in Western Canada, with a specific emphasis on their development pipeline and enclosed shopping centre portfolio. She currently oversees the day-to-day retail leasing, design, and merchandising strategy for Oakridge Park – the largest redevelopment in Vancouver’s history. Tara’s team is currently collaborating internationally with best-in-class development executives, architects, and consultants from all over the globe.
