Heather Weir is a senior financial and operational leader at Astra Group, one of Western Canada’s leaders in adaptive reuse and urban revitalization. She supports the financial planning, risk management, compliance, and operational systems behind the company’s real estate development and construction activities.

With more than 25 years of experience, Heather focuses on risk identification, financial strategy, and operational improvement. She is known for her analytical approach to complex projects—assessing risk, identifying gaps, and driving change that strengthens performance and scalability. At Astra, she helps guide the operational discipline behind a growing portfolio that includes five office conversions in Calgary’s Downtown West End, along with additional properties totaling nearly 1.5 million square feet.

Her work supports Astra’s continued focus on transforming underutilized properties into housing and mixed-use spaces that create long-term social and economic impact. Through a practical, systems-focused approach, Heather helps ensure projects are delivered efficiently, responsibly, and at scale.
