Angela Mathieson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of CentreVenture Development Corporation, an arms-length agency of the City of Winnipeg, mandated to provide leadership in the planning, coordination, and implementation of redevelopment projects in downtown Winnipeg. Established in 1999, CentreVenture has directly invested in over 150 projects, leveraging more than $1B in private sector investment in downtown Winnipeg. Prior to joining CentreVenture, Angela was Manitoba’s Secretary to Cabinet for Community Economic Development and Assistant Deputy Minister for urban affairs. She’s a passionate Winnipegger, an urbanist, and a strong believer in the economic power of healthy central cities.
