Chuck Davidson is the President & CEO of Winnipeg Economic Development & Tourism, the city’s lead economic development and tourism agency.

Building on more than 20 years of experience in economic development, business advocacy and tourism, Chuck leads Winnipeg Economic Development & Tourism’s work to drive inclusive, sustainable growth by attracting investment, talent and visitors. He will lead the agency through its next chapter as it helps shape a more coordinated approach to economic development across Manitoba.

Previously, Chuck served for more than a decade as President and CEO of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, where his collaborative leadership and ability to build trusted relationships helped unite businesses, communities and partners around shared economic priorities. He also spent nine years directing policy development, advocacy and communications with the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.

As a dedicated advocate for economic development in Manitoba, Chuck has held leadership roles such as Co-Chair of Manitoba’s Look North process, Co-Chair of the Rural Manitoba Economic Development Corporation and the Manitoba Mineral Development Fund, Co-Chair of the Premier’s Business and Jobs Sub-Committee on Trade, Board Member of the Community Economic Development Fund, and Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Accreditation Council.

His experience also extends to Manitoba’s tourism sector, where he has been a long-time advocate for the industry and co-chaired the development of Travel Manitoba’s provincial tourism strategy. 

Recently, Chuck was honoured with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his contributions to Canada and recognized as one of THE WEST 20: Impactful Leaders in Economic Development and Business Growth in Western Canada by the Western Canada Economic Forum.
