Henry Morton
President at Campus Suites LP
Speaker

Profile

Henry has previously (co) developed, or is developing almost 19,000 student housing and conventional bedroom units throughout the United States as well as four Provinces in Canada with a value of over $2.0 billion covering over eight million sq.ft. of residential and over 200,000 sq.ft of retail space. Campus Suites has also been involved in a number of conversions of projects to student housing.

In addition, Henry's property management company has property- or asset-managed more than 4,500 additional leases and a total of over 23,000 leases. Projects developed and/or managed have won awards in virtually every market in which Campus Suites or its management company have operated including the NAHB Pillar of the Industry Award Winner for Student Housing and the Canadian Council of Public Private Partnerships for Service Delivery.

Henry was previously named a "Pioneer of the Industry" by Real Estate Forum magazine. He and the 23 other recipients were deemed to have "founded the modern student housing industry in the United States". He is a frequent speaker or contributor at student housing oriented conferences and publications.

Henry earned a B.A. in Economics from York University and an MBA (Dean’s List) from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University where he majored in finance, international business and management strategy & policy. In addition, he is involved in several continuing charitable and community activities.

He and his wife have also successfully launched three adult children and, can proudly say that as a family, we have five master’s degree recipients. All three children have lived away at school proving that the “cobbler’s children can have shoes”.
