Kate Fenske has a passion for Winnipeg and is recognized as a team builder and collaborator. She has a strong background in facilitating a path to common ground in highly complex business scenarios where diverse perspectives and long-standing division of interests existed. As CEO of the downtown Winnipeg BIZ since 2018, Kate provides strategic direction and a voice for the 1,000 businesses operating in Downtown Winnipeg. She sits on the Boards of the International Downtown Association and the Downtown Community Safety Partnership and served four years on the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Board. Kate formerly held the position of Regional Manager of Public Affairs for CN Rail based in Winnipeg where she managed media relations for Western Canada and was responsible for municipal and provincial government relations across Manitoba. Kate also managed sponsorship, stakeholder engagement and community partnerships in the Prairie region.
