Lailanie Pelayo is a federal public servant with more than 20 years of experience in economic development, policy, international trade, and regional operations.
She currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Manitoba Region at Prairies Economic Development Canada, supporting governance and decision-making, strategic planning, change management, and initiatives that advance Manitoba’s economic priorities.
In June 2025, Lailanie received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of her contributions to public service and community.
Lailanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Manitoba.
