Paul Beckta is a Senior Economist with the City of Winnipeg’s Economic Development and Policy Office, specializing in macroeconomic analysis and modelling. In his current role, Paul provides Winnipeg-centred analysis on economic shocks and crises, conducts economic impact assessments of capital projects, develops fuel price forecasts, and produces GDP estimates for Manitoba economic regions. Prior to joining the City of Winnipeg, Paul worked for the Manitoba Bureau of Statistics in the Government of Manitoba. Paul holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics, from the University of Manitoba.
