Profile
Tom is a professional planner and Founding Principal of CVLNS. He has a background in land use policy, urban redevelopment, and strategic planning. Over the past two decades, he has led multi-disciplinary teams on a range of complex planning and development assignments, and served as a trusted advisor to local governments, public institutions, non-profit organizations, Indigenous communities, and private development interests.
Tom has played a lead role in some of the most significant planning initiatives in Winnipeg, including the Master Plan for Naawi-Oodena and Railside at The Forks. He has also recently led planning and revitalization strategies for Winnipeg’s Exchange District, Downtown Brandon, as well as Regina’s Downtown and Warehouse Districts. Beyond his professional practice, Tom is long-standing Board Member of Westminster Housing Society Inc. and has been active in the development of Place of Pride, one of Canada’s first affordable housing projects focussed on older 2LGBTQIA+ adults.
