Gender diversity in private equity continues to be a key topic for discussion in the industry.

SuperReturn, in its role as the hub of the global industry, proactively supports gender diversity at its events. In 2018, 13% of speakers at SuperReturn International in Berlin were women, an increase from 11% in 2017. In comparison, fewer than 10% of senior positions in the industry are held by women, according to Preqin and Level 20.

Three inspirational members of Level 20 joined us at SuperReturn International 2018 to talk about why gender diversification and inclusion is important for the performance and well-being of the industry, and the role mentoring, a key pillar at Level 20, plays in helping you progress further.

Panelists:

  • Kathleen Bacon, Managing Director, HarbourVest Partners
  • Dana Haimoff,  Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, J.P Morgan Asset Management
  • Helen Steers, Partner, Head of European Investment Team, Pantheon
