Thank you very much for a great IFRS Foundation Conference 2023 event. It continues to be the biggest annual event for IFRS accounting profession which attracts regulators, preparers, academics, analytics, auditors and consultants from around the globe. It is a perfect place to catch up with old friends and colleagues and make new connections. The technical IFRS accounting content was robust and relevant as always. This year the conference coincided with issuance of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 and inaugural events related to a new chapter for the IFRS Foundation - New Sustainability standards. Participants could learn first hand about new IFRS S1 and S2 fresh off the press There was a lot of buzz and excitement in the air!

These events are a must for practitioners, standard setters, investors and preparers. It reinforces the "why" which is very important when doing anything, particularly when it is new. Messages get diluted along the way and very often at national level what gets focused on is the "how".
