Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer at New Era Funds

Rihard is the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of New Era Funds. He started his career in audit at EY before moving to UniCredit Bank as an equity analyst. In 2015 he was promoted to Portfolio manager overseeing 50M EUR in AUM. He was one of the youngest portfolio managers in Slovenia.

After a few years, he left the bank and co-founded and ran two startup companies, both in the technology space, which he and his co-founders bootstrapped from the ground up. The second startup is more known for its machine learning document data extraction SaaS product called Typless. Typless was also a finalist in the AWS AI Challenge competition. Rihard was the company's CEO for 4 years before it was later acquired by a publicly traded software company. Rihard holds a degree in Economics (specializing in Banking and Finance) from the University of Ljubljana.

He also has an investment newsletter/blog called UncoverAlpha, where he often shares his views on technology and the investing space with almost 10,000 active subscribers from around the world.

Rihard is a firm believer that in the investing world, financial knowledge must be met with domain field knowledge to build a unique understanding and view of the company one invests in.
