Kara is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance (A&A) practice in New England. Kara has worked in the A&A practice for over 9 years, serving life sciences companies across the United States and globally. Kara also serves Deloitte’s National Life Sciences practice in an industry-specific role.

Kara has served a variety of clients ranging from private emerging growth companies to large public companies and multinational enterprises. Kara has led her teams through initial public offerings and capital market transactions, including acquisitions, carve-outs, and divestitures.

Through her audit role, Kara has significant experience with technical accounting matters relevant to life sciences companies, including equity and debt transactions, initial public offerings, product launches, revenue recognition (including gross-to-nets) and clinical trial accruals. Through her industry role, Kara has advised clients on complex accounting topics and contributes to the development of Deloitte’s life sciences accounting guidance via her work on Deloitte’s Life Sciences Industry Accounting Guide.
