Kari Ebert is a Managing Director in Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice. She supports clients with technical accounting and reporting matters related to capital markets transactions, sustainability reporting, and finance optimization. She primarily serves clients in the health and life sciences and technology sectors.

At EY, Kari has assisted clients ranging from small start-ups to large multi-nationals in preparing for various types of transactions, including IPOs, divestitures/spin-offs, debt offerings and mergers & acquisitions. She has experience helping clients prepare SEC-compliant financial statements, carve-out financial statements for planned disposals or spin-offs, pro forma financial information, and the application of discontinued operations reporting. She has supported companies with evaluating technical accounting matters related to a variety of topics. Additionally, she has experience in nonfinancial reporting, particularly ESG matters required under the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Prior to joining EY, Kari served as a member of the technical staff at the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

Kari holds a BS and MS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
