Katie is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Accounting & Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice in New England where serves as a trusted advisor to the individuals in the accounting and finance functions. Prior to this role, Katie spent five years in the Firm's audit practice, serving both private and public companies in New England across the Life Sciences and Digital Health industries. Katie has experience providing a diverse range of services including financial reporting, technical accounting, SOX compliance, and implementation of new accounting standards and internal controls for both large and small companies. Katie has significant experience working with audit and advisory clients on a variety of technical accounting areas including revenue recognition, leases, collaboration agreements, debt and equity accounting, stock-based compensation, inventory, and clinical trial accruals along with the related processes and internal controls. Her work in the ARA practices includes assisting clients in the financial close and enhancements to business processes and controls as well as helping respond to questions and challenges related to U.S. GAAP, SEC, and auditor requirements. She also performs IPO readiness assessments to assist private company clients in understanding their gaps prior to beginning the process to go public.
