Kevin MacKay is Vice President, Global Technical Accounting Advisory Services & Policy at Pfizer Inc. leading a team responsible for technical accounting and SEC financial reporting expertise, business development transactions, accounting policies, valuations, commercial business arrangements, FASB and SEC activities, key liaison with auditors, training, specialized accounting areas and strategic initiatives, such as supporting the negotiation and execution of numerous acquisitions, divestitures, collaborations, in/out licensing, spin-off transactions, joint ventures, investments and funding arrangements. Kevin’s responsibilities also include interpreting and implementing new accounting guidance at Pfizer.

Kevin was previously Vice President, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer at Avaya Inc., a global commercial communications and technologies company with $5 billion in revenues, from 2010 to 2015. There he led a worldwide team of 250 people whose responsibilities included SEC reporting, consolidations, SOX/ICFR, financial systems, worldwide shared service center operations and global record-to-report accounting activities for the company. In recognition of his leadership, in 2014 Kevin was awarded additional responsibilities as Head of Global Tax.

Prior to Avaya, Kevin spent 13 years at Tyco International, a multi-industry conglomerate, in various finance roles with progressive responsibilities, including VP Divisional Controller for the largest business segment, VP Assistant Treasurer, VP Assistant Corporate Controller and Director of External Reporting. Tyco grew from $7 billion to $41 billion in revenue during his tenure, and Kevin led and partnered on many successful strategic transactional and transformative initiatives, including a series of multi-billion dollar acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, SEC registration statements, IPOs, spinoffs, debt/equity offerings and Six Sigma operational efficiency programs.

Previously, Kevin spent 2 years as a business operations Finance Director at Accenture and 8 years at Arthur Andersen where he was an experienced auditor manager and his accomplishments included the successful initial public offerings of several private companies.

He is an active CPA and has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University.
