Matthew is current the Chief Accounting Officer and member of the CFO senior leadership team at Amgen. He is currently responsible for the global corporate accounting organization. Matthew has 20+ years of finance and accounting experience with both broad finance knowledge and deep technical accounting knowledge. During his tenure at Amgen, Matthew has held positions of increasing responsibility as a leader in corporate finance, accounting operations, external reporting, global tax and functional finance. Prior to joining Amgen, Matthew worked for Ernst & Young in the New York City office. Prior to Ernst & Young, Matthew worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Matthew earned a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, also from Brigham Young University.
