Matthew is the Chief Accounting Officer and a member of the CFO senior leadership team at Amgen, where he leads the global corporate accounting organization. He brings more than 20 years of finance and accounting experience, combining broad financial leadership with deep technical accounting expertise.

During his tenure at Amgen, Matthew has held roles of increasing responsibility across corporate finance, accounting operations, external reporting, global tax, and functional finance, providing him with a comprehensive perspective on the financial complexities of a global biotechnology company.

Prior to joining Amgen, Matthew worked at Ernst & Young in the New York City office and earlier in his career at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. He holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
