Natalya Zak is the Executive Director of Financial Reporting and Accounting at Sandoz Inc. She played a pivotal role in establishing a new Sandoz US FRA organization following the company’s spinoff. Natalya oversees all Sandoz US FRA activities, including the application of IFRS principles in preparation of financial statements, ensuring control effectiveness and high-quality reporting, advising on technical accounting matters, providing BD&L accounting support, and liaise with external auditors.

Before joining Sandoz, Natalya spent over 20 years with Novartis, in various Global, Divisional and Country roles. She oversaw impairment assessment and managed a team of Global technical accounting experts. As Global FRA Head for the Novartis Oncology Business Unit, she built strong partnerships across business organization, delivered expert technical accounting guidance, worked on adoption of IFRS policies and supported due diligence, purchase price allocation and integration efforts for several major acquisitions. Her experiences also include preparation of external reporting and oversight of SOX 302 disclosure process during an assignment at the headquarters in Switzerland. Additionally, Natalya served as faculty member of the Novartis Finance Academy. She is an expert in Revenue Recognition, and pioneered revenue recognition accounting for gene therapy products. Natalya is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from SUNY, New York and began her career as an auditor at PWC.
