Profile

Philip is currently the Corporate Controller for Ocular Therapeutix, Inc. (NASDAQ: OCUL) His responsibilities include the management of the preparation of the company’s annual and quarterly U.S. GAAP consolidated financial statements, the management of the company’s SOX program, and management of the company’s 10-K and 10-Q preparation processes, including ensuring that these filings are in compliance with SEC Rules. He also oversees the Accounting & Reporting Team, is the technical accounting lead, oversees payroll, and manages the company’s federal and state tax matters.

Previously, Philip served as the Corporate Controller for Saniona, Inc. (XSTO: SANION), Senior Director, Accounting at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and as the Global Controller for Harry’s, Inc. Before he moved to the corporate side, he was in several progressing roles at KPMG in audit and accounting advisory.

In his various roles, Philip has dedicated significant efforts towards accounting & financial reporting-related process improvements. Philip has improved operating models, and led the implementation of different close management, SOX, and financial reporting support systems. Philip works very closely with FP&A in both directions, as a recipient of accounting-relevant information, e.g. clinical trial-related financial data, and a provider of insight.
