Sandra Patterson is the Senior Vice President – Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Gilead Sciences. She has extensive experience working in cross-cultural business environments, which has expanded her appreciation for diverse and inclusive environments. She has more than 20 years of experience working for large and medium size public multinational companies in the bio-pharmaceutical, consumer products and technology industries where she has lead initiatives including building high performing teams, organizational design, change management, mergers and acquisitions, business integrations, and other technical aspects.

Sandra is passionate about people development and has supported various Gilead initiatives such as Women @ Gilead, CFO Employee Development Committee, the Corporate Mentor Program. She is a Co-Sponsor of GILEADOS, which is Gilead’s Latino Employee Resource Group, and externally, she is a member of the National Board of Directors of ALPFA, the Association of Latino Professionals for America, where she currently serves in the H.R. and Nominations Committee.
