Profile

Scott Godsoe is the Vice President, US Controller of Takeda Pharmaceuticals, a values-based biopharmaceutical Company with more than 50 commercial products and nearly 20,000 employees in the U.S. Region. At Takeda, Scott is responsible for the oversight and effectiveness of the accounting, financial reporting and related SOX compliance in the U.S., actively leading various strategic initiatives in the region, including the recent acceleration, automation and harmonization of the Company’s U.S. gross-to-net processes. He joined Takeda in 2020 as Senior Director, US Business Unit Finance Controller, where he led both the Commercial Controllership organization and FP&A teams for the Company’s largest commercial business unit, until moving to his current role in January 2022.

Prior to joining Takeda, Scott was an experienced Director in the Pharma and Life Sciences assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) in Boston focusing on clients with both large portfolios of commercial products and those at various stages of clinical and pre-clinical development, ranging from leading global organizations to emerging growth companies. In addition to his role in the assurance practice, Scott also spent significant time serving non-audit clients in a consulting capacity, advising companies on highly complex and transformational M&A transactions and associated SOX compliance considerations. During his 14+ years with PwC, Scott helped companies navigate a wide range of accounting and operational issues and developed a passion for a career in life sciences. He has a wealth of experience in leadership and in managing large-scale global assignments, with a focus on enhancing, aligning and optimizing processes. This included overseeing highly complex assignments while demonstrating a consistent ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across functional teams and with internal and external stakeholders.

Scott is a CPA and has both a Bachelor of Science in Business and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Maine. He and his wife, Kristen, live in Reading, Massachusetts with their two children.
