Niklas Brueggemann is a case handler in Directorate J (Digital Platforms) of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP). From January 2021 to May 2023, he worked as policy officer in DG COMP’s Directorate A (Policy & Strategy). Prior to joining DG COMP in January 2021, Niklas was a lawyer in the antitrust and competition practice group of an international law firm. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Munich and publishes frequently on all aspects of German and European competition law as well as private international law.
