Beth Burks is Director of Sustainable Finance Markets at S&P Global Ratings – the international credit rating agency and one of the largest providers of information to inform debt capital markets. Beth is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities within the Sustainable Finance market where S&P Ratings’ analytics can provide added insights. Beth has worked for over a decade on research and development of analytical approaches to assessing sustainability.
Beth guest lectures at various university business schools about Green Bonds and Sustainable Finance more broadly. She is responsible for S&P Ratings representation at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s conference of parties (UNFCCC COP) and has attended annually since 2017. Her research primarily focuses on assessing climate transition and water risk in financial analysis. She holds an MSc Geographical Information Science from Birkbeck College, and a BSc Mathematics from Imperial College in London.
