Laura van Geest has been Chair of the Executive Board of the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) since February 2020. She leads the Dutch financial conduct supervisor, with responsibility for strategy and policy, market integrity and enforcement, and legal affairs. Prior to joining the AFM, she held senior roles at the Dutch Ministry of Finance and was Director of the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB). She brings extensive experience in economic policy, public finance and financial supervision.
