Annual Africa Sugar Conference
15 - 16 April 2025
Mövenpick Hotel & ResidencesNairobi, Kenya

Creating a sustainable event experience

Africa Sugar Conference is not only discussing innovations in the sugar industry but is taking active steps now to reduce waste

We’re committed to running events which are both environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. Here’s a breakdown of how we’re embedding sustainability in everything we do.

Sustainability initiatives in 2025

Event app

We have removed paper waste with the event mobile app.

All attendees will receive login details prior to the event to access the digital agenda, attendee list, and in event announcements.

Locally sourced food

We have worked with the hotel to ensure attendees will receive a range of healthy and nutritious meals.

We have reduced our carbon footprint by choosing food which is both seasonable and locally sourced, and includes vegan and vegetarian options.

Name badges

Paper only name badges without plastic holders will be provided at the event.

Renewable energy

As part of our continued commitment to sustainability the event's electricity sources have been switched to renewable sources thereby significantly reducing the event's carbon footprint.
