Sean West leads the Protein Engineering and Structural Biology at Absci, where his multi-disciplinary team collaborates with Absci's AI researchers to discover, design, and develop novel biologics using computational and structure-guided design. Sean joined Absci from Bristol Myers Squibb where he helped drive multiple tumor microenvironment programs from concept to clinical development. Sean earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from Columbia University and completed postdoctoral training at New York University, specializing in structural and computational biology.
