Dr. Stiann Foss, PhDResearcher at Oslo University HospitalSpeaker
Profile
I am a researcher in the Laboratory of Adaptive Immunity and Homeostasis at the University of Oslo, led by Professor Jan Terje Andersen. My research focuses on the interplay between antibodies and their cellular receptors, such as the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) and the cytosolic Fc receptor tripartite motif-containing 21 (TRIM21). By combining structural and biophysical approaches with biochemical, cellular, and in vivo experiments, knowledge from this basic research is used to inform innovative design of antibody molecules with improved functions and tailored modes of action. I am currently funded by the Research Council of Norway through its Young Research Talents program.
