Deirdre McEvoy-Cappock serves as Principal Antitrust & Senior Regulatory at Siemens Corporation. In that role, Deirdre provides advice and training to key business partners on U.S. antitrust and foreign investment laws and other regulatory developments, counsels our M&A team on competition issues related to corporate transactions and manages U.S. merger control & CFIUS filings and other governmental antitrust-related inquiries.
Prior to joining Siemens, Deirdre served as Counsel at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP in the Antitrust and White Collar Defense and Investigations practice groups where she represented clients in antitrust litigation and counseling matters, including those related to pricing, marketing, distribution, franchising, and mergers and acquisitions, and civil, regulatory and criminal investigations. In that role, Deirdre served as a frequent speaker and author of articles and blog posts on antitrust and white collar enforcement and regulatory issues. Deirdre also served as an adjunct professor of Antitrust Law at Seton Hall University School of Law. Deirdre currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association, Antitrust Section.
Prior to joining Patterson, Deirdre served as Chief of the New York Field Office for the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, where she supervised the Office’s criminal and civil antitrust enforcement matters and served on the Division’s Litigation Management Advisory Team. Prior to the Antitrust Division, Deirdre served as the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for a decade.
