Dr. Nazma Ilahibaks is CEO and co-founder of JAMA Therapeutics (JAMA Tx), a preclinical biotech spin-off of University Medical Center Utrecht developing genetic medicines for heart disease. With over a decade of experience in cardiac delivery, she is a co-inventor of the company’s engineered extracellular vesicle technology and leads its cardiac therapeutic programs. Her commercial experience includes international public-private partnerships with pharma and medtech, as well as academic venture creation. She holds a PhD in Regenerative Medicine and an MSc in Drug Innovation from Utrecht University, from which she graduated with the distinctions of honors and cum laude.
