Billy has over 20 years of combined healthcare experience in executive management, strategy, financing, accounting, and investment banking. Prior to CBC Group, Billy served as CFO of Zai Lab in Hong Kong and Shanghai for over five years, helping to grow the firm’s employee base from less than 100 in China to over 2,100 across three continents, and pioneering a global financing strategy that raised USD 2.6bn from two IPOs and four follow-on offerings.

Before Zai Lab, Billy was Managing Director and Head of Asia Healthcare Investment Banking at Citigroup, based in Hong Kong. He helped start Citigroup’s Asia healthcare franchise in 2011 as the first dedicated healthcare banker for the region. Before moving to Hong Kong in 2011, Billy was based primarily in New York, working as a healthcare M&A banker for KeyBanc and Piper Sandler. Billy started his career with E&Y in the US healthcare audit and M&A transaction advisory teams.

Billy holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Southern California.
