Rex Tan is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Aevice Health, a Singapore-based medtech company that developed AeviceMD, a smart wearable medical device incorporating medical AI for remotely monitoring patients with chronic respiratory conditions. AeviceMD has received regulatory clearance in Singapore, the United States and Australia. The technology received the CES 2023 Best of Innovation Award, and Aevice Health was subsequently named to the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list in 2025.

Rex also serves as Chair of the Industry Chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society (Singapore) and is a member of Singapore’s Technical Committee for Healthcare and Health Informatics, where he contributes to developing standards related to healthcare technologies, remote clinical monitoring and connected medical devices. With a background in engineering, biomedical technology and business, he brings practical experience in medical device development, clinical validation, quality systems and navigating regulatory pathways across Asia-Pacific and international markets.
