Shelby is the Executive Director at Vertex Growth with over 10 years of experience across life sciences innovation, commercialization, and cross-border investment. Since joining Vertex Growth in 2022, she has focused on growth-stage opportunities in biotech, medtech, and healthcare value chain.

Previously, Shelby was Deputy Director at A*STAR, working on biomedical technologies commercialization across IP strategy, licensing, translational funding, and spin-off formation. Earlier, she served as Investment Manager at Invest in Denmark in Shanghai, covering China’s biotech, medtech, and agri-tech sectors and facilitating cross-border investments and strategic partnerships.

Shelby holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, an M.S. from the National University of Singapore, and a B.S. from Wuhan University.
