Dr. Vince Deng is Partner of Med-Fine Capital. Previously, he was Managing Director of Hankang Capital. Prior to Hankang, he worked at a NASDAQ-listed biotech company in the US Capital Region and was in charge of a few pre-clinical projects involving “first-in-class” innovative drugs, spanning areas of oncology, immunology, infectious and rare diseases. A couple of those drug candidates are now being evaluated in clinical trials. Dr. Deng was trained under the supervision of two academicians in Europe and the US, during his PhD and postdoc years, respectively. He has published nearly 30 peer-reviewed research papers in top-tier journals including Cell, Nature Microbiology, PNAS and Blood, and was offered faculty positions around the world in the field of glycosciences. Dr. Deng is also an enthusiast about public health promotion and community services. For example, he served as President of the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association - Washington DC (SAPA-DC), serves as SAPA’s global board director and has been a SAPA volunteer for around a decade.
Dr. Deng worked as a fellow in Johns Hopkins University, and conducted his postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Diego, USA. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, and a Bachelor's degree from Tongji University, Shanghai, PRC.
