Profile

Dr Xinhong Lim is a scientist-investor with extensive experience bridging the worlds of deep tech, clinical innovation, and global capital. He is a Partner at Wedo Venture Partners, a biotech and medtech venture capital firm headquartered in Singapore. Wedo sources innovation and innovators globally to anchor and accelerate them in East Asia out of Singapore, with a specific focus on precision medicine, healthy longevity, and home-based care — building out a hub-and-spoke model across the region and, where it adds the most value, taking a hands-on role in building companies from the ground up.

Before Wedo, Xinhong was a Managing Director and Investment Committee member at Vickers Venture Partners, where he established and led the firm's Silicon Valley office and served on the boards of category-defining companies including Aardvark Therapeutics (NASDAQ: AARD, metabolic disease and obesity). He has invested across a broad range of modalities and sectors, from small molecules to vaccines and delivery, medtech and biomaterials. He later served as a Managing Director of the founding team of Gelephu Mindfulness City, Bhutan's new Special Administrative Region, architecting its Economic, Health & Wellness, Life Sciences and Education cluster masterplans. He holds a PhD in Developmental Biology from Stanford, was previously a Principal Investigator running a skin stem cell biology lab at A*STAR, and is a recipient of Singapore's National Academy of Sciences Young Scientist Award.
