Ya-Ting Lei is the Director of Business Development at Merck KGaA, based in Singapore. In this role, she leads business development initiatives with a focus on later-stage assets across APAC countries. With over 20 years of experience in research, consulting, industry, and business development, Ya-Ting has worked in the US and Asia markets. Prior to joining Merck, she served as a commercial lead for the Oncology testing portfolio at Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific Regional office and played a key role in developing the clinical Next-Generation Sequencing market at Illumina. Her experience also includes working as a management consultant at Bain & Company, contributing to projects across various sectors and practice areas.

Ya-Ting holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Neuroscience from Columbia University, an MBA degree from INSEAD, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture and Biotechnology from National Taiwan University. Beyond work, she is an endurance athlete and embraces a healthy lifestyle.
