Junichi Nezu, Ph.D. serves as Member of the Board and Executive Managing Officer of Mochida Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., with responsibility for the Research Division and the Clinical Research and Development Division. Dr. Nezu has over three decades of experience in pharmaceutical R&D and biologics innovation. Since joining Chugai Pharmaceutical in 1991, he has led numerous antibody discovery and development programs, including projects that advanced to global commercialization. One of these programs, PIASKY® (crovalimab), has been launched internationally. He was appointed Head of Research at Chugai Pharmabody Research in Singapore in 2012 and subsequently served as Head of Research at Chugai Pharmaceutical. In 2023, he joined Mochida Pharmaceutical as Executive Managing Officer responsible for Research and was appointed Member of the Board in 2024. In his current role, he oversees both research and clinical research and development activities, driving the company's innovation strategy and product pipeline.
