Arne Berthelmann, Ph.D., is Senior Director Oligonucleotide R&D at Bachem. He studied chemistry at Humboldt University of Berlin and received his doctorate from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He then began his industrial career in process development at Bachem, holding several positions within research and development (peptides) before taking over the leadership of Bachem's oligonucleotide R&D team in 2023. In his current role, he is responsible for the development and transfer of manufacturing processes, as well as the evaluation and development of new, innovative technologies.
