Profile
Hiroshi Iwamura is currently the Deputy Head of the API Process Development Department and leads chemical process R&D at Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Over the past 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, he has developed a comprehensive skill set in API manufacturing and quality control strategy, pharmaceutical regulatory science, new technology development, and project management. Before joining Chugai in 2010, Dr. Iwamura worked as a process chemist at Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation. He obtained his Ph.D. from Kyoto University under the supervision of Prof. Tamio Hayashi and Prof. Donna G. Blackmond, focusing on reaction kinetics analysis.
