Dr. Nikan earned his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of British Columbia and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge as well as the RNA Therapeutics Institute at UMass. As a Research Fellow at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, he capitalizes on 15 years of invaluable experience in oligonucleotide research, with a primary focus on targeted tissue delivery and oligonucleotide chemistry. Dr. Nikan's extensive track record includes more than 30 published articles, issued patent and patent applications.
