Andrii Prokofiev is director for strategic development at LLC Gas TSO of Ukraine. He focuses his efforts on strengthening cooperation with neighboring TSOs, international organizations, Ukrainian and foreign market participants, state services in energy sector in Ukraine, etc.

Andrii is leading the development of GTSOU’s strategy to ensure the company’s successful operation under zero‑transit conditions. He is also working on advancing new opportunities for the use of the gas transmission system infrastructure, with a primary focus on enabling the transportation of renewable gases - biomethane, and in the future, hydrogen.

During the unbundling process, he was responsible for introduction of EU business rules on all cross-border interconnection points between Ukraine and neighboring countries. Andrii took part in development of Ukrainian gas transmission code and numerous projects aimed at Ukrainian gas market reform and its full integration with the EU markets. After unbundling of GTSOU in 2020, Andrii was leading the projects of VIP's establishment with Poland and Hungary, implementation of capacity allocation mechanisms via auctions, development of the business case for temporary storage of natural gas in Ukraine by foreign companies, etc.
